Privacy Policy
This policy explains how NetMovIA collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the platform, whether as a subscriber or creator, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French law.
1. Data controller
The data controller for data collected through the NetMovIA website and platform is Ludovic Gosselin, as publisher of the NetMovIA service, who can be contacted exclusively at the following address: support@netmovia.com.
2. Data we collect
The main categories of data processed are as follows:
- Account data: email address, username, password stored in encrypted form, profile preferences.
- Platform usage data: viewing history, video progress, number of views given and received, unlocking of badges and avatars, player settings.
- Billing data: as of today, no paid subscription and no payment feature is active on NetMovIA. Therefore, no complete banking data is currently collected or stored by NetMovIA.
- Data relating to Creator status: as of today, no creator payment mechanism and no KYC verification process is active.
- Technical and security data: IP address, technical session identifiers, login timestamps, security and error logs.

As of today, NetMovIA is available free of charge, without any paid subscription or active creator remuneration mechanism. The information relating to billing and payments describes a future commercial phase.
NetMovIA currently allows the use of official avatars provided by the platform and, depending on available features, the upload of a profile image by the user.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
- Account management and provision of the service — legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Site security and fraud prevention — legal basis: legitimate interest.
- User support and handling of requests — legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Sending information relating to the operation of the service — legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Management of billing and accounting obligations — legal basis: legal obligations.
Some data requested when creating an account or using the service is necessary for NetMovIA to operate properly.
Other data is optional and is used only to personalise the user experience or improve the service.
4. Recipients and processors
Your data may be transmitted only to persons and providers who need to access it in the course of their duties:
- NetMovIA technical and support team;
- website and database hosting provider;
- technical providers for video storage and delivery;
- where applicable, secure payment providers once paid subscriptions are effectively activated.
When these providers act on our behalf, they are bound by a data processing agreement and may only process your data in accordance with our instructions.
5. Data location and transfers outside the EU
Data is mainly hosted within the European Union. If some providers are located outside the EU or use servers outside the EU, transfers are governed by mechanisms recognised under the GDPR.
6. Data retention periods
Data is kept only for the period strictly necessary for the purposes pursued:
- Account and profile data: kept as long as the account is active.
- Inactive account: deletion or anonymisation after 24 months of inactivity.
- Billing data: kept for up to 10 years.
- Technical and security logs: kept for a maximum of 12 months.
If the user deletes their account, the personal data associated with the account is removed from our systems, except where retention is required to comply with a legal obligation or to defend our rights.
7. Security
NetMovIA implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
As no system is completely invulnerable, we undertake to react as quickly as possible in the event of an identified security incident.
8. Your rights
Under the conditions set out in the regulations, you have the following rights over your personal data:
- right of access and rectification;
- right to erasure;
- right to restriction of processing;
- right to object;
- right to data portability.
